Another busy week at Honolulu Sunrise

Mahalo to Ginny Tanji, Director of the Health Sciences Library at the School of Medicine, UH Manoa for showing us a wealth of online resources beyond Google. This includes medical libraries, clinical trials and resources at the Hawaii State Library. For those of you who missed it, she also set up a web page to get us started: http://jabsom.hawaii.libguides.com/rotary Thanks Ginny!

Reminder: Refresh & Renew New Member Social will be on September 12 from noon to 3pm, so bring a new member to Susi Taylor's home, 10 Pali One Place, Kailua. Food will be provided. To rsvp, contact Melissa Reed at melissa.reed@edwardjones.com or President-Elect Amin Leiman at amin.leiman@gmail.com.

A huge mahalo to Col. Kamemoto for organizing the 7th Annual Rotary Camping/BBQ. We had a good turn out, including Bruno and past member Greg Hansen and his family. Boogie boarding, golf lessons/driving range, miniature golf, and lots of food. It was fabulous!

Sunrise received a huge mahalo from the principals of Lincoln and Royal Elementary School for the wealth of supplies we donated. Mahalo to Charlie DuBoyce and Melissa Reed for coordinating that effort!

Reminder: D5000 Secretary Laura Steelquist visited to remind last-minute Rotarians to attend the District Conference on Kauai in two weeks. More at: rotaryd5000.org
